Although seemingly very short this is a very prolific piece of water.
It fishes best when the water is on the low side and salmon will be caught in almost every month of the year.
The sea trout fishing from May to August can be very good, with prolific shoals of herling entering the beat from late July onwards.
During the winter the catches of grayling on this water can be phenomenol.
The stream and pool offers excellent fly water, although when the water is up spinning will be more effective.
The fishery benefits from having a footpath running alongside it so access to the water is excelent.
