Woodend is a secluded beat fishing two rods on the left bank four miles upstream from Banchory. The beat is over a mile long and has 11 named pools including the Moral Pool, described by John Ashley Cooper as one of the most beautiful pools on the Dee.
The fishing is full of character whatever the height of water. A track the length of the beat leads to a private fishing hut with wood burning stove. There is a secure rod room near the house.
