Annan – Shilla Hill

This double bank beat is, fished exclusively on a season ticket basis only.
It also has the potential to be an outstanding brown trout and grayling fishery and will fish well over 5lb and 3lb respectively known to be present.
Wading is relatively straightforward as the river bed is primarily gravel and the curents are not too strong. As the fishing is set amongst pastoral land the access to the water is generally very good though care should be taken on some banks that are quite steep.
Traditionally this beat has been fished by spinning, worm and fly and depending on the height of the water this will continue, although when the water is at a low to medium height, it offers fantastic potential to the fly angler.
