Salmon fishing on the river Teviot may not be as world renowned as the waters of the nearby Tweed, but do not be deterred.This river can fish very well when falling from a spate and even in low water conditions can still provide good fishing.
Jedforest AA provides fishing on two beats,the upper beat at Cleikumin old bridge, near Ancrum, the lower beat from the mouth of Oxnam water to the Ormiston boundary, approx. 5 miles form Kelso on the A698 (around the Kalemouth bridge).

The club’s secretary may meet you on your first day for help with directions etc,for more information at the waters edge, ask the locals, most of them will be happy to help!.
