Drumgrange and Keirs Fishing Club have fishing on The River Doon between Dalmellington and Patna in East Ayrshire. The beat consists of approximately 5 miles of single bank and 3 miles of double bank starting at the Doon Bridge on the B741 Dalmellington to Straiton road and finishes at Doonbank Patna. The beat is mainly fished for Salmon but also holds Brown Trout and Pike. Although September and October are the most productive months given the right conditions Salmon can be caught from as early as May and June.
