Fleet – Cally Estate

This delightful river runs from Loch Fleet due south through the idyllic Fleet Valley National Scenic Area. Most of the lower and mid river is managed by Cally Estate who offer daily lets for up to 8 rods on 4 beats for salmon and sea trout fishing.

These beats are very suitable for fly fishing at most heights and for night sea trout fishing. If water is above the red line on the markers then spinning and worming is allowed (apart from downstream of Standing Stone Pool). During October all beats are fly only.

The Water of Fleet has long been a renowned sea trout river, although recent catches have decreased. These beats are well maintained with bank protection and cutting undertaken for the benefit of anglers. Work to protect and enhance surrounding spawning burns has been completed recently; income from ticket sales is reinvested in the fishery.
