Creebridge House Hotel is a family run country house situated in Creebridge, two minutes walk from the market town of Newton Stewart. For this season, the owners have access to Galloway Estate Fishing on the Cree and can offer anglers daily and weekly lets during some of the most productive times of the season.
This five mile stretch of water begins only a couple of miles north of the town and offers excellent angling opportunities over both banks of the main stem of the Cree where there are an exciting range of waters suitable for worm, fly and spinner.
It is generally salmon and grilse that are caught on this water although there are also some large brown trout (up to 5lb) landed every year. The biggest fish to be caught within the last 10 years was a 26lb salmon. More recently fish around the 20lb mark have been caught every few years.
