This beat is fished as part of the River Annan Small Streams Passport.
This section of the Ae is very gravelly and whilst much of it is shallow it has a few deeper pools that hold trout to 3/4lb all year.
From July onwards sea trout can be present with increasing numbers in August.
Very fresh salmon are present given good running conditions from October onwards.n of back end fish.
