North Esk – Gallery

Gallery Fishings is one of the most productive beats on the North Esk and offers delightful fly water.

Access is easy with well-maintained banks, which also show a profusion of wild flowers in season. There is a well-equipped fishing hut which is located in the middle of the beat. Wading is very easy.

Fishing is normally fly only, but spinning may be allowed in adverse conditions. The beat offers good prospects throughout the season, with the spring fishing having been greatly enhanced by the removal of the nets until May and the catch and release rules applying until end May. This is leading to a rapid recovery in the numbers of salmon on the beat in the early months.

Sea trout fishing has not been utilised and could show great potential.

An attractive modernised farmhouse is available to let together with the fishing comprising 4 double bedrooms and 1 single.
