Kirriemuir Angling Club (KAC) was founded in 1919 and has fished the River South Esk in Glen Clova for 91 years. The water is leased from Airlie Estates and fishing is permitted from both banks for Salmon, Grilse and Sea Trout from 16 February to 31 October. No fishing is permitted on a Sunday.
The Club offers members of the public the opportunity to purchase Day Permits, Weekly Permits or Full Membership.
The beat, includes farmland where cattle and sheep regularly graze. Members of the public are asked to abide by the Countryside Code. As a condition of lease, the policy of NO DOGS must be adhered to at all times.
The beat consists of very varied fishing from rough water to long gliding pools.
The beat is fly fishing only in all water conditions.
