Lower Netherdale lies some 12 miles downstream of Huntly. The hut is situated in the middle of the beat, which is about 2 miles long and 18 named pools. The top half is double bank and the lower half is fished from the left bank. It is a four rod beat, except in June, July and August when it is reduced to three. Fishing is by fly and spinning. There is a ghillie (who will show anglers the beat) but he is not in attendance on a full time basis.
