Irvine – Newmilns & Greenholm Angling Club

The Newmilns stretch of the River Irvine is approx 2 miles long and has around 30 pools/streams that are ideally suited to fly fishing, although spinning and worm fishing is allowed too. the stretch has been lightly fished in the past. Ongoing maintenance on riverbanks and an active committee are now trying to increase membership for the 2015 season.

Permits can be purchased from Premier Shop 54 Main Street, Newmilns. tel 01560 321211. There is a map supplied with permit.

fine for late fee is £20.00 if permits not purchased before end of April

adult season permit £30.00

oap season permit £10.00

kids season permit 10-17 yr olds £10.00

under 10s is free

day permits are £10.00 up until end June, after then it is £20.00
