Until now this beat has only been fished privately and very lightly and comprises of single (left) bank fishing from General Wades Bridge upstream for one mile and consists of a variety of pools ideal for fly fishing and spinning in most water heights.
Access to the beat is very good with an amicable agreement between the owner of the fishings and the landowner giving anglers parking on the left riverbank in the designated area.
Salmon can be caught from the opening day right through the season with the main spring run in April and May when some good catches are made.
In the summer months the grilse appear in the pools providing great sport with the floating line or intermediate before the larger autumn fish arrive later on in the season.
