Western Isles – Garynahine River and Lochs

Situated on the west coast of Lewis, approx 12 miles from Stornoway.

The ghillie will always be on hand to show anglers where to fish and to offer advice on flies/tackle etc. There are no restrictions on the fishing hours and early morning and late evening fishing is encouraged during spells of low water and bright, sunny weather.

11 February until 15 October for salmon and seatrout. 15 March until 6 October for brown trout.

General Prices Information

All fishing is free until early June. Thereafter day tickets for the river are £50 per day/£300 per week. Bank fishing on the lochs is £20 per day and boat fishing is £50 for a boat with up to 3 anglers fishing. Prices on application for lodge accommodation. Details on website. Basic bothy accommodation is also available for up to 3 anglers per week when the lodge is not occupied.
